rardsbDances will run from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. There must be a minimum of four (4) adult chaperones at any given time, two of whom must be teachers. One teacher must stay until the music provider leaves to ensure that the building is secure.

  • The Student Council will assume responsibility for cleaning up after the dance, for collecting money and for the coat check.
  • Any student who was truant on the day of the dance will not be permitted to attend the dance that evening.
  • Non-RRHS students will be admitted to the dance by approved invitation only. Students will be permitted to invite one (1) non student. All invitations must be approved by school administration. A list of approved invited guests will be given to one of the chaperones the day of the dance.
  • Any student who has a reason for not arriving at the dance prior to 8:30 p.m. that is acceptable by the school administration, must sign the late list at the Office indication their reason and their estimated time of arrival.
  • There must be one chaperone and one Student Council member stationed at the door.
  • Anyone causing a distrubance will be asked to leave. If an invited guest causes a disturbance, both the visiter and the student who signed the person in will be asked to leave.
  • There will a compulsary coat check for all dances.
  • Students will not be permitted to go to the lockers during the dance.
  • Anyone drinking alcohol or using drugs at the dance or who is found to be under the influence of the above, will be removed. Such students are to be reported to the parents, police, and the principal.
  • The doors will be closed at 8:30 p.m. Only students who were approved on the late list will be admitted after that time. Anyone leaving the dance after 8:30 p.m. will not be re-admitted.
  • During the dance, chaperones will mingle with the students to ensure everything is going smoothly.
